Solomon Juxon-Smith is a New York City grocery store worker and political refugee, whose father was the head of state in Sierra Leone. A Forgotten Past is a documentary that tells the story of how Solomon and his family went from West African ruling class, to disappearing into completely new anonymous lives in Staten Island.

Andreas Hadjipateras is an English-Greek filmmaker. His first feature documentary “The Last Partisan”, centering around Manolis Glezos, premiered at the Thessaloniki Film Festival and was followed by a theatrical release. His second major documentary “A Forgotten Past” is currently on the festival circuit. He has directed numerous shorts that have been featured in festivals worldwide. Andreas is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch Film and Television Program.
